It's Sunday, and I'm stuck inside (damn rain!). Although it's really been dry, the rain definitely has been needed. it's just me and the wife home alone today. The road calls to me! Oh what to do, what to do...

If the gods grace me with their nod, this may be in my future...time will tell.

Bikes, rivers, and my Marilyn

Hello People!

I'm back! And I've got some photos to share as well. The weekend wasn't so bad, spent time with the family, even went to the reception of a fellow cycling member. Good times. I'm at a great time in my life where I have the pleasure of teaching my son to ride a bike. Although, you'll see it's my wife whose taking the reins in this pic.

Earlier in the week we went to see the newest addition to our city river. They have expanded by adding trails to walk, run, and even...(wait for it) ride your bike! WOO-HOO!!! No dogs or cars, just people (sigh... 2 out 3 aint bad). Here are a couple of pics of a newly built bridge and some art made to provoke the imagination.

All in all it was a special feeling being in the moment of your life and not in the future as I usually tend to do. Live in the now folks, live in the now. I close this blog with a pic of my beloved guitar, Marilyn. Recently bought a tiny, tiny practice guitar amp. Best $30 I spent in a long while. Tone galore and that's without using OD knob!!! Living the life folks! Hasta pronto (see you soon)...

Birthdays and the 4th of July

Wow! July 3rd already? Great to know I have tomorrow off. Wednesday was my son's birthday, so the day was spent having breakfast at IHOP, buying a bike for my son, and spending the rest of the day at the river.
Didn't get a lot of guitar time in but I definitely try to squeeze it in whenever possible.

By the way did I ever tell you that I love trucks? Indeed I do. Saw this one coming back from the river. Not too shabby...

Who's birthday is it?

It's my son/s birthday! Relaxing at home, still on the long and winding road to "tame" that beast which is my Les Paul. Good times today, good times.
